Liu Jianjun Presides Over the Executive Meeting of the Municipal Government

On September 15, Liu Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Weifang, presided over the 88th executive meeting of the municipal government to convey and study the Opinions of the State Council on Deepening the Implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence+" Initiative and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Promotion of Employment, hear the briefing on the problems identified in the inspection conducted by the Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection Team, and discuss measures for implementation. The meeting pointed out that artificial intelligence is an important driving force for a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation. All relevant departments at all levels should seize policy opportunities, leverage the city's industrial advantages, thoroughly implement the "Artificial Intelligence+" initiative, promote deep integration of artificial intelligence with industries such as electronic information, intelligent manufacturing, and modern agriculture, advance the construction of application scenarios in fields including government services, education and healthcare, work safety, and urban management, and strive to open up new tracks for the artificial intelligence industry.

The meeting emphasized that the Employment Promotion Law elevates the proactive employment policy to a legal norm, which is of great significance for promoting economic and social development. The city will continue to explore and expand employment space, strengthen support for enterprises and job stability, broaden employment service channels, enhance vocational skills training, reinforce the protection of workers' rights and interests, improve public legal awareness campaigns, and ensure the overall stability of the city's employment situation.

The meeting pointed out that ecological and environmental protection inspections are concrete and practical measures, as well as institutional guarantees, for implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization. For the issues raised by the inspection team, responsibilities, corrective measures, and deadlines must be clearly defined one by one, and rectification should be advanced in a solid and meticulous manner. The city will adhere to combining "immediate correction" with "long-term establishment", draw lessons from related cases, address both the symptoms and root causes, and promote the continuous improvement of the city's ecological environment.
