Meat Huoshao (a kind of pancake in China) is one of the three traditional famous foods of old Weixian County. Before the liberation of Weixian County, the Chenghuang Temple (also known as "City God Temple") Huoshao shop primarily made plain huoshao, but now it focuses on meat huoshao, with vegetable huoshao as a secondary option. Using a traditional earthen stove fueled by coal, the huoshao is baked through several steps, including kneading, baking, roasting, burning, and steaming. Each Chenghuang Temple Meat Huoshao weighs between 100 and 150 grams. The meat filling is made from fresh pork, green onions, Sichuan pepper water, soy sauce, sesame oil, wood ear mushrooms, cake crumbs, and salt. In 2017, it was listed in the fifth batch of representative projects of Weifang's municipal intangible cultural heritage.
