The 1st Weifang International Poetry and Music Festival Held

``The First Weifang International Poetry and Music Festival`` was successfully held in Fuwha International Conference Center from April 3 to April 5. The festival was sponsored jointly by Chinese Poetry Association, Chinese Harmonious Culture promotion Association, Municipal Jinzhao Literature Association and Municipal Young Writers Association. More than 800 poetry fans from home and abroad participated in this classical and modern festival of poetry and music.

With the theme of ``Aroma of Spring``, the activities in the festival included poetry declaiming, chorus, dancing and original music. More than 30 artists from different fields including well-known periodical editors, chorus, musician, anchors and journalists performed together on stage.

Writers and poets from all over the country visited some featured scenic spots like Yangjiabu and Qingyun Mountain to cherish the memory of the famous litterateurs like Su Dongpo, Li Qingzhao, Fan Zhongyan,Zheng Banqiao and Zang Kejia and held a poetry symposium specific to Weifang history and famous modern poets.
