37th Weifang International Kite Festival Postponed

On December 20th, 2011, it was decided at the 24th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 15th People's Congress of Weifang that, from 2012, the Saturday of the third week of April every year will be the opening day of Weifang International Kite Festival. But because of the continuous worldwide spread of COVID-19, the pressure of preventing the epidemic rebound at home and from re-entering the country has increased recently. In order to implement the Central and Provincial and Municipal Party Committee's overall plan to promote the epidemic prevention and control and the economic and social development, we should continue to do well in the epidemic prevention and control, and effectively protect people's lives and health. According to the suggestions of the municipal government, the 33rd Session of the 17th Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee decided to postpone the holding of the 37th Weifang International Kite Festival, and the specific holding date of the festival would be determined by the municipal government.
