The 36th Weifang International Kite Festival Opens

On the morning of April 20th, the 36th Weifang International Kite Festival was opened at the Weifang Binhai International Kite Flying Field. The world's largest kite of more than 3,000 square meters and the national flag kite of more than 900 square meters were all on show for the first time.

 It is informed that a total of 65 countries or regions have participated in the festival, which came to be the largest number of countries participating in this same event so far. It is estimated that there will be more than 800 kite players at home and abroad attending the festival, which will also be the largest number of participants in this same event so far. Three categories and 30 activities have been arranged for this year’s kite festival, including 14 theme activities, 11 economic and trade activities, and 5 cultural and sports activities.

 In addition to the annual Weifang Kite Competition, World Kite Championships and other traditional activities, the launching ceremony of Weifang International Talent Week, AOPO Aviation Carnival, Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage and Kite Image Ambassadors Float Parade, International Circus Carnival, Extreme Motorcycle Car Leap Stunt Show and other activities have been added to the kite festival of this year.
