The 31st Weifang International Kite Festival and the 10th World Kite Tournament will be held from April, 19th (Saturday) to 26th 2014 in Weifang. It is cosponsored by General Administration of Sports of China, International Kite Federation and Weifang Municipal People’s Government.
Important activities:
The Festival includes three parts: kite, culture and investment attraction and dozens of important activities.
Activities for kite: they mainly include the opening ceremony of the 31st Weifang International Kite Festival and kite flying show of tens of thousands of people, the 10th World Kite Tournament, national qualification trials for kite division, Weifang Kite Contest, the 4th China(Weifang) Luminous Kite Invitational, kite flying of “Chinese Dream•Beautiful Labor” in honor of Labor’s Day by citywide workers.
Activities for culture: they mainly include the 4th Chinese Painting Festival•China(Weifang) the 7th Culture and Art Exhibition and Trade Fair, the 7th China(Weifang) Kite Arts and Crafts Expo, etc.
Activities for investment attractions: they mainly include the 2014 Weifang Visit of Diplomatic Envoys, marketing events for key projects in “Blue and Yellow Regions” of the 31st Weifang International Kite Festival, the 2nd summit forum of software engineering developmental tendency of China, marketing events for Weifang’s investment cooperation and forum of transformation development of Weifang’s exhibition economy, etc.
