Opening Ceremony of the 27th Weifang International Kite Festival

The grand theatrical performance ``China Telecom—the Night of E Surfing`` for the opening ceremony of the 27th Weifang International Kite Festival will be held solemnly at Weifang Olympic Park Stadium at 19:30 PM on April 20th. The grand performance focusing on innovation will bring super visual impulse and whole new art enjoyment to audience home and abroad.

Firstly, the attractive cast. The young famous Chinese singer Li Yuchun; famous stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan, Liang Yanling and Fan Weiqi, Chinese singer from Shanghai Zhou Bingqian; the National A-Class Actors, prestigious singer Yang Hongji and Dedema; the Music Queen Mao Amin and popular singers Zhang Zhenyu, Aluazhuo, Yu Tongfei, Siqingaoli and Rao Tianliang ect. Nearly 20 stars and singers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland-China will gather in Weifang.

Secondly, the innovative kite event. Focusing on promotion of new Weifang and new image, a big dancing show and a group comic dialogue are newly created for the opening ceremony performance. A 150-person Ansai Waist drum team will join the performance, which will bring the audience a brilliant show combining dance, martial arts, gymnastic, percussion music, wind music and folk song.

Thirdly, the fashion idea. The whole stage combines factors of traditional kites and modern kites, and create marvelous visual and auditory effect with international first-class lights and sound.

Fourthly, the first class stadium. The performance for the opening ceremony will be held at Weifang Olympic Park Stadium. With advanced equipment, complete function and unique shape, the Stadium is a green, energy saving and environmental protecting one, and a first class comprehensive stadium of China. This will be the first big theatrical performance held here and the city people are full of anticipations.

Fifthly, the major media covering. The whole performance will be edited, directed and recorded by CCTV and will be broadcasted twice in prime time on CCTV-3. It will fully demonstrate the image of Weifang with its kite culture, new achievement on social and economic development.
