Liu Yun Coordinates with Relevant National Ministries

From December 19 to 20, Liu Yun, the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to Beijing to visit relevant national ministries. The delegation seized policy opportunities to coordinate key initiatives, sought greater support, and worked to inject momentum and advantages into Weifang's development. Vice Mayor Zhou Jun also attended the event.

At the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Ministry of Transport, Liu Yun engaged in in-depth discussions with relevant officials, and on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the long-term care, support, and assistance provided by the ministries to Weifang's work. He also briefly introduced Weifang's economic and social development. He noted that Weifang has a solid agricultural foundation, strong industrial strength, favorable transportation location, prominent advantages in science and education, and a rich cultural heritage. Currently, Weifang is deeply studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Shandong, and earnestly implementing the deployment of the Central Economic Work Conference. The city is committed to taking on the mission of "taking the lead to be a mainstay", focusing on the "1-7-5-1" strategic goals and initiatives, and pushing forward high-quality economic and social development, so as to build a better Weifang with strong capabilities, high quality, and beautiful living conditions at a faster pace. Liu Yun expressed sincere hope that the national ministries will continue to offer their care and support for Weifang's reform and development, providing more guidance and assistance in advancing key projects, accelerating urban renewal, and strengthening talent attraction and cultivation. This will help Weifang's economic and social development achieve new progress.

Relevant responsible officials from the national ministries fully acknowledged the achievements of Weifang's economic and social development, as well as related work, and gave positive responses to the relevant matters. They stated that Weifang has a solid industrial foundation, outstanding comparative advantages, vast development space, and immense potential. They will earnestly implement the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, along with the decisions and policies of the Party Central Committee. In line with their respective departmental functions and responsibilities, they will strengthen coordination and guidance, increase support in areas such as project funding and industrial development, and adopt more vigorous and practical measures to ensure the effective implementation of various policies in Weifang, thereby better contributing to the overall national development agenda.
