
Qingzhou silver melon is a variety of muskmelon, and is named for its silvery white skin. It is mainly cultivated and planted on the beach of Mihe River, with a cultivation history of more than 250 years.

After its full-grown, the skin of the melon is slightly creamy yellow, the aroma is tangy and refreshing, the flesh is white and tender, with the sugar content is generally about 15%. Qingzhou silver melon enjoys a long-standing reputation. It was selected as a "tribute" as early as the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. It is sold well in major cities in China as well as in such regions like Hong Kong and Macau.
