On October 9, Weifang organized a video conference to view the provincial meeting on "Three Autumns" ("autumn harvest, autumn planting, and autumn field management") agricultural production work. Following the meeting, a subsequent video conference was held to thoroughly implement the spirit of the provincial meeting and to arrange key tasks for Weifang's "Three Autumns" agricultural production. Liu Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Weifang, attended and delivered a speech. Lyu Shanshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor, presided over the meeting.

Liu Jianjun pointed out that the city's autumn grain harvest has now entered a critical stage. All departments at different levels must resolutely shoulder the political responsibility for food security, take proactive actions, and respond effectively to ensure a bumper autumn harvest and a successful annual harvest, thus laying a solid foundation for next summer's grain harvest. It is essential to closely monitor weather changes, strengthen the joint consultation mechanism among departments, and scientifically assess variations in rainfall, water levels, and flood conditions, all to ensure the smooth progress of the "Three Autumns" production.

Liu Jianjun emphasized the importance of preparing drainage equipment in advance, promptly conducting farmland drainage and waterlogging removal, and addressing adverse weather impacts effectively. It is necessary to seize the "window period" between rainfalls to ensure the coordination of agricultural machinery supply and demand, and to carry out harvest operations in an organized and efficient manner. Efforts should be made to expedite the drying and sun-curing of grains, utilizing temporary drying and storage areas such as squares and factory buildings to ensure safe grain storage. Work on grain purchase, storage, and insurance compensation should be well coordinated to protect the income of grain-growing farmers and stabilize their expectations for grain production. Every effort should be made to carry out autumn planting and solidify the foundation for high wheat yields.

At the meeting, recent weather conditions were reported, and the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Zhucheng City, and Changyi City each gave presentations.
