This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and September 30 is the 12th Martyrs' Day in China. On the morning of that day, a ceremony to present flower baskets to the people's heroes was held at Weifang Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyrs to pay tribute to the martyrs, inherit the red legacy, and draw inspiration for progress. Liu Yun, Secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee; Li Aijie, Chairman of the Weifang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Guo Fei, Deputy Secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee, and other members of the municipal leadership team, along with leaders of the stationed troops in Weifang and the Weifang Military Sub-district, attended the ceremony.

Shaded by verdant pines and cypresses, the Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyrs is home to the tall and solemn Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs. Representatives from all sectors of society, holding fresh flowers, stood in formation before the monument, filled with deep reverence.

At 9 a.m. sharp, the ceremony to present flower baskets to the People's Heroes officially began. The honor guards marched with firm, powerful steps and halted in front of the monument to stand at attention. The "March of the Volunteers" resounded majestically, and all attendees sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.

After the national anthem, all attendees stood in silence to honor the martyrs who courageously sacrificed for the liberation of the Chinese people and the development of the People's Republic of China. Following the moment of silence, children holding fresh flowers stood facing the monument, sang together "We Are the Successors of Communism", and gave the Young Pioneers salute.

Accompanied by the "Song of Presenting Flowers", 12 honor guards steadily lifted six large floral baskets and walked slowly to the monument, placing the baskets neatly at the monument base. The floral baskets were presented by the stationed troops in Weifang, the Municipal Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, the municipal government, the Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, and the Weifang Military Sub-district.

Liu Yun and the military leaders slowly approached the monument, paused to gaze at it, and carefully arranged the ribbons on the floral baskets. The satin ribbons bore the shining golden characters "Heroes and Martyrs Will Be Remembered Forever". Subsequently, military and civilian leaders, along with representatives from various sectors, took turns paying their respects to the monument and the martyrs' cemetery, laying flowers in remembrance and tribute. Attendees expressed their determination to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, earnestly carry out General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions during his inspection of Shandong, and under the strong leadership of the provincial party committee and government, inherit and promote the great spirit of resistance.
