The Standing Committee of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee Convenes Meeting to Convey Xi Jinping's Instructions and Discuss Key Work

The meeting pointed out the need to firmly grasp high-quality development as the primary task, thoroughly implement the innovation-driven development strategy, intensify efforts to promote the industrial economy as the "number one project," and coordinate economic growth with people's livelihood protection. It emphasized solid work in ethnic and religious affairs, full implementation of the Party's ethnic policies and basic principles for religious work, and improving law-based governance of ethnic and religious affairs. The meeting also stressed strengthening the guidance and guarantees of Party building, consolidating and deepening the results of studying and implementing the central Party leadership's eight-point decision on improving work conduct, advancing integrity and anti-corruption efforts, and fully strengthening primary-level Party organizations. Scientific planning for development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, expanding the achievements of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, promoting comprehensive rural revitalization, giving full play to the role of democratic parties, and improving Party school management were also highlighted to ensure all tasks were implemented effectively.

The meeting heard a report on the citywide campaign to rectify misconduct and corruption affecting the public, emphasizing that deepening and advancing this campaign is an important political task. The focus should be on investigating typical cases, rectifying prominent issues, completing livelihood projects, and establishing systems and mechanisms, maintaining sustained momentum to ensure substantive results.

The meeting reviewed key tasks of the Municipal Party Committee's Comprehensively Deepening Reforms Commission, stressing the need to focus on major provincial and municipal reform tasks, further strengthen accountability, highlight practical results, and accelerate progress to ensure reforms are effectively implemented.

The meeting arranged and deployed key tasks for the National Day holiday, stressing the need to coordinate all work during the holiday period, carefully organize cultural and tourism consumer campaigns, strengthen emergency on-duty shifts, safeguard the bottom line of safety and stability, and ensure that all residents of the city spend a safe, joyful, and harmonious holiday.

The meeting heard reports on the hosting of the 2025 Advanced Technology Achievement Transformation Shandong Visit (Weifang) and the key universities-local government collaboration matchmaking and exchange event, studied the Implementation Plan on Further Improving Primary-level Emergency Management Capabilities, and reviewed the Implementation Opinions on Dispatching Primary-level Cultural Development Instructors, and made arrangements and deployments for the next stage of work.
