Liu Jianjun Visits Weifang Institute of Technology for Research

On September 11, Liu Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Weifang, made a research visit to Weifang Institute of Technology. Vice Mayor Chen Duanmei attended the visit.

At Weifang Institute of Technology, Liu Jianjun visited academies, the student cafeteria, and other facilities to gain a detailed understanding of campus development, academic programs, integration of industry and education, and food safety. He emphasized that as an application-oriented university of sciences, Weifang Institute of Technology must keep in mind its original mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the country, fully implement the Party's educational policies, fulfill the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and vigorously cultivate well-rounded talents for the new era. He called for further improvement in layout planning and academic programs, active exploration of new models of integrating industry and education for talent cultivation, so as to inject strong momentum into the high-quality economic and social development of Weifang. He stressed the importance of attaching great significance to campus safety, implementing measures such as education management, risk investigation, and emergency response, and firmly strengthening the defense line of campus safety.
