The Standing Committee of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee Convenes Meeting to Study Xi Jinping's Speeches and Industrial Growth Measures

The meeting emphasized that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, congratulatory remarks, congratulatory letters, and replies are highly political, ideological, and instructive, providing scientific guidance and fundamental principles for carrying out related work. It is essential to study, understand, and implement them in depth and in light of local realities. Efforts must be made to strengthen and improve ideological and political work, enhance cohesion and forge the Party's soul with the Party's innovative theories, make good use of grassroots platforms for ideological and political education, actively explore new forms and methods, and continuously enhance the appeal and persuasiveness of ideological guidance. The meeting stressed the need to fully implement the Party's ethnic policies, heighten public awareness of ethnic unity and progress, foster extensive exchanges and integration among all ethnic groups, achieve common prosperity and development, and firmly safeguard ethnic unity. It also called for accelerating the establishment and strengthening of a safe development system and capabilities, intensifying fundamental rectification in key industries and sectors, enhancing prevention and response to natural disasters, and improving the overall level of social safety. The meeting underscored the importance of carrying forward the great spirit of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, telling stories of heroic resistance, promoting the indomitable spirit of struggle, and inspiring cadres and the public to forge ahead and open new prospects for development in the new era. It also highlighted the need to actively support military reform and development, ensure combat training and readiness, promptly address the urgent concerns of officers and soldiers, and provide strong support to ensure that the armed forces can fight and win. The meeting further emphasized the importance of deepening opening-up and cooperation, actively integrating into the Belt and Road cooperation and regional development frameworks, strengthening foreign economic and trade cooperation with greater intensity, and continuously expanding Weifang's international network of partners.

The meeting also studied the Work Plan on "Maximizing Increments, Curbing Decrements, and Addressing Variables" to Promote Steady Growth of the Provincial Industrial Economy issued by the General Office of the Provincial Government. It stressed the need to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the provincial party committee and government, maintain a strong focus on industry, stimulate enterprises' internal momentum for development, and coordinate efforts to maximize increments, curb decreases and address variables, thereby driving Weifang's high-quality economic development through industrial upgrading and efficiency improvement.
