Liu Yun Inspects Urban Traffic Work and Calls for Enhanced Governance to Empower Weifang's Development

Liu Yun visited the Accident Video Quick Response Center and the Traffic Police Command Center, listened to briefings on the video-based quick handling of minor accidents and the integrated "Situation-Command-Action" work model, and learned about relevant experiences and practices. He subsequently presided over a symposium, heard reports on citywide traffic management work and statements from relevant municipal departments, affirmed the achievements of the Weifang Public Security Bureau and Traffic Management Detachment, and, on behalf of the municipal party committee and government, extended greetings and thanks to all front-line and auxiliary traffic police officers.

Liu Yun pointed out that smooth traffic flow is closely related to urban quality, the business environment, and people's well-being, and is an important component of promoting high-quality urban development and building a better Weifang. Efforts should focus on easing congestion and ensuring smooth traffic. The "Smooth Traffic in Weifang" special improvement campaign should be planned and carried out, interdepartmental coordination strengthened, the traffic potential of the existing road network fully tapped, the disorder caused by non-standard low-speed electric vehicles resolutely addressed, transportation convenience from counties and districts to the central urban area accelerated, and urban traffic governance made more scientific and refined. A solid safety foundation must be built by firmly establishing the concept that "hidden dangers lead to accidents" and "accidents are preventable and controllable", with close attention to key periods and areas. Continuous investigations, comprehensive management, expanded legal publicity, regular concentrated rectification of traffic order, and strict enforcement against major violations are required to create a safe and smooth traffic environment. Digital empowerment should be strengthened, smart transportation construction accelerated, and data leveraged to continuously improve traffic efficiency and alleviate parking supply-demand imbalances. Reform and innovation in law enforcement must continue, with ongoing improvements in law enforcement philosophy and methods, emphasizing flexible enforcement, ensuring that enforcement is measured and services are delivered with care, and striving to achieve an organic unity between legal outcomes and social effects.
