Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee Holds Meeting to Study Xi Jinping's Important Directives and Discuss Gas Management and Burden Reduction for Grassroots

The meeting emphasized that General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions carry strong political, ideological, and guiding significance, providing scientific guidance for flood control and disaster relief work. Participants were urged to thoroughly study, understand, and implement these directives based on actual conditions. Flood control must be given top priority, maintaining high vigilance at all times, resolutely overcoming complacency and negligence, and meticulously carrying out meteorological monitoring, disaster prevention, emergency rescue, duty shifts, and information reporting. Designated responsibilities must be strictly enforced to ensure the city safely passes through the flood season.

The meeting heard a report on local gas management legislation, emphasizing the need to strictly assign and implement responsibilities, formulate supporting implementation rules, improve the information-sharing mechanism, widely carry out publicity and guidance, strengthen regulatory teams and law enforcement inspections, and ensure the regulations are effectively implemented.

The meeting conveyed the guiding principle of the third-quarter special work meeting of the Provincial Party Committee on rectifying formalism and reducing burdens for grassroots units. It stressed the need to identify typical problems notified by higher authorities, apply lessons learned from them, promptly report and publicize prominent issues, improve and implement a long-term mechanism for burden reduction at the grassroots level, and ensure these measures are effectively carried out.

The meeting reviewed the "Municipal Party Committee United Front Work Responsibility List" and the "United Front Work Responsibilities List for Members of the Standing Committee of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee", and made plans and arrangements for the next stage of work.
