In order to better utilize the advantages of intangible cultural heritage resources in Weifang, improve the management level and build a digital management platform for the intangible cultural heritage resources, Weifang Bureau of Culture and Tourism organized a training course on management system for intangible cultural heritage inheritors on April 10th. Over 30 participants including directors and staff of intangible cultural heritage protection centers and system administrators from counties, county-level cities and districts of Weifang attended the training course.
The purpose of the training is to meet the needs of digital management of intangible cultural heritage resources of Weifang, by digitizing relevant information through IT system and allocating permissions and functions to appropriate groups and thus to achieve better management results. Weifang Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center and relevant departments from counties, county-level cities and districts of Weifang shall upload intangible cultural heritage activities to the platform and assign points. All the intangible cultural heritage volunteers and inheritors across the city shall sign up to participate in the activities and obtain corresponding grade points. Such grade points will be used as an important reference index for annual review, year-end evaluation and awarding. In the next stage, an inheritor withdrawal mechanism will be formulated to remove inheritors who do not actively participate in activities or whose points are too low.
