Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Promotes Construction of Comprehensive Underground Utility Tunnel

Since 2016, Weifang has conscientiously implemented the important national and provincial deployments on the construction of comprehensive underground utility tunnel, and accelerated the construction of comprehensive underground utility tunnel.

In 2018, the construction of new comprehensive underground utility tunnel was 8.05 kilometers, which overfulfilled the task of 7 kilometers of newly-constructed comprehensive underground utility tunnel given by the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and won provincial subsidies of 7.85 million yuan.

Promote the construction of comprehensive underground utility tunnel to ensure smooth traffic; provide a foundation for the development and utilization of urban underground space; improve the urban environment; ensure urban safety and improve urban functions; enhance the city's earthquake and disaster resistance capabilities.
