Open Recruitment of Volunteers the First Time for Kite Festival

On April 8, the swearing in ceremony of the 28th Weifang International Kite Festival Volunteers was held, in which 130 volunteers including college students and representatives of voluntary workers of Weifang participated.

Volunteers from all social circles including students, workers and teachers actively registered　 since the information on volunteer recruitment was released by the Municipal International Kite Festival Office on February 24. Up to now, more than 800 people enrolled, among which 300 was accepted after strict selection. It is for the first time that the Kite Festival volunteers were openly recruited from the society in the history of holding Weifang International Kite Festival. 

It is reported that most volunteers are 20 to 25 years old providing the services such as etiquette, translation, cleaning the activity areas, issuing publicity materials, accompanying relevant teams, assisting kite-flying competitions and helping the policemen and security guards to keep order.
