on March 29th, the news-releasing conference of the 28th Weifang International Kite Festival was held in Beijing at Beijing International Hotel. The leaders and reporters from news agencies of the People`s Daily, the Xinhua News Agency, China National Radio, China Central Television, Guangming Daily and Economic Daily presented. Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Weifang Committee and Vice Mayor Hu Yanxin and related leaders of General Administration of Sport delivered speeches respectively. The director from the Preparation Committee Office of the 28th Weifang International Kite Festival introduced the related information of the kite festival.
The 28th Weifang International Kite Festival will be held on April 16th this year in Weifang, with ten activities being included in three blocks focusing on Kite, Culture and Tourism & Trade. Along with the traditional kite-flying competition, the 1st China and Foreign Luminous Kite-flying Contest will be held, as well as the activities of the 1st Chinese Painting Festival, Kite-flying Performance of Ten-Thousand People, etc. It is informed that, kite-flying teams from 25 countries and regions of the world have been enrolled to attend the kite festival of this year.
