Liu Yun Meets with Guests from ACWA Power

Recently, Liu Yun, Secretary of Municipal Party Committee met with Thomas Brostrom, Chief Business Development & Investment Officer at ACWA Power, and his delegation. Vice Mayor Di Bo also attended the meeting.

Liu Yun welcomed Thomas Brostrom and his delegation. He mentioned that Weifang has a solid agricultural foundation, strong industrial capabilities, advantageous transportation location, prominent scientific and educational advantages, and a rich cultural heritage. Currently, the city is deeply studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his visit to Shandong. The city is also actively integrating into and serving the Belt and Road cooperation, striving to build a new highland for opening up to the outside world. ACWA Power is the world's largest seawater desalination developer and a renowned leader in the new energy industry, with substantial strength and influence. It is hoped that both sides will seize the flourishing development of China-Saudi Arabia relations to continuously deepen practical cooperation and work together to achieve mutual benefits and a win-win outcome.

Thomas Brostrom stated that he will further expand ACWA Power's investment in Weifang, accelerate the implementation of projects, and drive more fruitful outcomes from the cooperation between both sides.
