Shandong Province Agricultural High-Quality Development County Tour and "Qilu Agricultural Supermarket" Integrated Development Series Activities Held

The event conflating the Shandong Province Agricultural High-Quality Development County Tour and the "Qilu Agricultural and Supermarket" Integrated Development Series Activities was held on August 28 in Anqiu City. Chen Ping, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, attended and addressed the event. Xue Chaowen, Deputy Secretary General of the People's Government of Shandong Province; Bi Sidong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman and President of Dazhong News Group; Wang Xuchao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Lushang Group; and Liu Zhiguo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Shuifa Group, as well as responsible officials from relevant provincial departments and heads of relevant enterprises, were present. Lyu Shanshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee, Vice Mayor of Weifang, and Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Weifang National Agricultural Comprehensive Zone Promotion Office, delivered a speech.

Chen Ping noted in his address that over the recent years, the province has steadfastly regarded the implementation of the rural vitalization strategy as the key to our work concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers in the new era, made coordinated efforts in advancing rural development, construction, and governance, and delivered continuous new achievements and successes in these areas. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection in Shandong, redouble efforts to drive high-quality development in the agricultural sector, amplify the endeavors to develop local specialties, consistently deepen the integrated development across the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, strive to strengthen leading enterprises, supplement the industrial chain, revitalize business practices, and cultivate strong brands, and promote the full-chain advancement of the rural industry. It is essential to deeply understand the development trends of digital agriculture, effectively construct and make the best use of the "Qilu Agricultural Supermarket" platform, explore new pathways for the advancement of digital agriculture in Shandong, innovate new modes for establishing the Qilu model of rural revitalization, and create new brands under the "Shandong Good Products" label, striving to make new and greater contributions to developing the province into an agricultural powerhouse and building up the country's strength in the agricultural sector.

Lyu Shanshan stated that currently, Weifang is thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, vigorously promoting the city spirit characterized by "esteeming culture and virtue, pursuing practicality and innovation, embracing openness and inclusiveness, and striving for strength with confidence", and dedicated to accelerating the construction of a better Weifang. In the next step, Weifang will fully leverage the "Qilu Agricultural Supermarket" platform, make continuous efforts to develop specialty and quality agriculture, further expand and enhance the "three models" (Zhucheng model, Shouguang model and Weifang model), and move faster to build a pilot area in advancing Qilu model of rural revitalization.

During the event, representatives from relevant departments and units, as well as brand pavilions, delivered speeches. The event also featured the "Qilu Agricultural Supermarket" Excellent Products and Enterprises awarding ceremony, alongside the launch of the 2024 First Shandong Provincial Competition on E-commerce Live Streaming Skills for Rural Revitalization Agricultural Products. Prior to the event, the attendees conducted a research visit to the Anqiu Agricultural Brand Operation Center.
