In her speech, Duan Qingying stated that Shandong is fully implementing the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of the province, firmly shouldering the mission of "taking the lead to be a mainstay", striving to build an important economic growth pole in northern China, and working hard to advance the Chinese path to modernization in Shandong. She encouraged the College to take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as a guide, use its 70th anniversary as a new starting point, fully implement the program for strengthening education, and firmly grasp the political, people-oriented, and strategic attributes of education. The College is urged to better focus on major national strategies, the goals of building Shandong into a strong province in education and agriculture, and the development needs of modern agriculture; strengthen internal development; build strong and distinctive programs; enhance school-local and school-industry cooperation; promote industrial upgrading; and contribute more to the building of a modern and strong province.
In their speeches, Zhang Hongqi and Wang Zhigang, on behalf of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Provincial Department of Education, respectively, extended congratulations to all faculty, staff, and alumni. They stated that support for the College's construction and development will continue, and that assistance in policies, resources, investments, planning, and projects will be strengthened to help the College achieve high-quality development.
Liu Yun said in his speech that since its founding, the College has adhered to its original aspiration of serving the agriculture, rural areas, and rural residents, continuously enhanced its educational strength, expanded its disciplinary advantages, and focused on integrating industry and education, providing strong support for Weifang's livestock industry technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and brand building. He called on the College to firmly fulfill its mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the State, fully leverage its professional, technical, and resource advantages, align closely with local industrial needs, cultivate high-quality and highly skilled talents who understand and love agriculture, and accelerate the building of a leading domestic and internationally advanced entrepreneurial university. The Municipal Party Committee and government will continue to support the College, enabling its students to achieve their aspirations and realize their potential in Weifang.
At the conference, a cooperation signing ceremony was held between the College and Jiangsu Ecolovo Food Co. Ltd., and teachers and students presented wonderful cultural performances.
