In Malaysia, Liu Yun attended the Exchange Meeting for Shandong Enterprises Investing in Malaysia and the China (Shandong)-Malaysia Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, where he introduced the development of Weifang's electronic information industry and related cooperation opportunities. He also attended the Weifang-Malaysia Cooperation Forum, noting that Weifang enjoys well-developed industries, leading agriculture, a rich cultural heritage, and thriving education and science sectors. In recent years, Weifang and Malaysia have maintained increasingly close economic and trade relations. He expressed the hope to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in industry, economy and trade, science and technology, and talent, inject new momentum into win-win development, and make new contributions to building a China-Malaysia community with a shared future. In Vietnam, Liu Yun attended the Dialogue on Shandong - Vietnam and China (Shandong) Economic and Trade Cooperation and Enterprise Matchmaking Exchange Meeting, where he introduced cooperation and development opportunities in Weifang's agricultural machinery industry. He also attended the Weifang-Vietnam Economic and Trade Forum. He said that Weifang has been deepening cooperation with Vietnam in sectors such as rubber, textile and apparel, and loudspeakers, with growing industrial synergy between the two sides. He expressed the hope that the China Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and entrepreneurs will give full play to their advantages, build bridges for cooperation, attract more enterprises to invest and operate in Weifang, and contribute to deepening traditional friendship and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides.
During the visit, Liu Yun also attended an exchange meeting on the new campus project of Nilai University in Malaysia to gain an on-site understanding of the university's operation and development. He met with Gobind Singh Deo, Malaysia's Minister of Digital, as well as responsible officials from the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), PMBI Malaysia, and the Malaysia-China Friendship Association. In Vietnam, he met with responsible officials from the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Enterprise and Market Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the GoerTek Group Bac Ninh production base, and the China Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. Responsible officials from the Chinese embassies in Malaysia and Vietnam participated in the relevant activities.
