On August 21, Zhang Haibo, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Shandong, visited Weifang to inspect economic operations. He was accompanied by Mou Shuling, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Government, Liu Yun, Secretary of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee, and Yang Shengyan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Weifang Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of the city.

Zhang Haibo visited Shandong Yuma Sun-Shading Technology Co., Ltd. and Weifang Weirun New Materials Co., Ltd., where he toured exhibition halls and inspected product displays. He held in-depth discussions with company leaders on production and operations, technological innovation, and work safety, and inquired in detail about the difficulties encountered in the companies' development. He encouraged enterprises to strengthen confidence in development, delve deeply into their core responsibilities and main businesses, increase investment in R&D, extend the industrial chain, work to raise product added value, steadily enhance their resilience against risks, and pursue high-end, intelligent, and green development. He stressed the need to fulfill primary responsibilities for work safety, conduct thorough inspections and rectifications of risks and hidden hazards, strengthen whole-process control of production, and comprehensively improve intrinsic safety levels.

Zhang Haibo emphasized that Weifang should thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements on the development of the private economy and the guiding principles of his speech during his inspection of Shandong. He urged the city to shoulder the mission of "taking the lead to be a mainstay", follow the requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and Government in carrying out special actions to serve private enterprises, improve and refine regular communication mechanisms, fully implement enterprise-supporting policies, actively help enterprises overcome difficulties, continuously optimize the business environment, and support them in growing stronger, better, and larger. He called for better coordination of development and safety, stronger scheduling and analysis of economic operations, and accelerated progress on key projects. Efforts should focus on stabilizing employment, enterprises, markets, and expectations, while carrying out solid measures to prevent and resolve risks and hidden dangers. Full efforts are needed to promote stable and sound economic growth, maintain overall social stability and security, and strive to contribute more to the province's development.
