Projects from Qilu Eco-Culture (Weifang) Protection Area Appear at Shandong New Year Goods Market of Intangible Cultural Heritage

From January 16th to 19th, the "Winter Tour of Qilu · The 1st Shandong New Year Goods Market of Intangible Cultural Heritage" was held at the Baihuazhou Historic Culture Block in Jinan. More than 40 representative projects of intangible cultural heritage of Shandong province have been selected for the event. These projects, in forms of board exhibition, physical display, on-site production by inheritors, presentations, audience experience, etc., revealed the fruitful achievements in the revitalization of traditional craft, especially new achievements in the development of derivatives, innovative products, and tourism products of intangible cultural heritage.

Qilu Eco-Culture (Weifang) Protection Area, as the only national eco-culture protection area in Shandong, is rich in intangible cultural heritage resources, and the types and quantities of which rank high in the province. Characteristic projects of Qilu Eco-Culture (Weifang) Protection Area such as Yangjiabu Woodblock New Year Pictures, Niejiazhuang Clay Sculptures, Gaomi Paper-Cuts, and Cui Brand Stone-Ground Sesame Oil, Weixian Laomao Lanterns, Weixian Pastries, etc., appeared at Shandong New Year Goods Market of Intangible Cultural Heritage fully demonstrated the achievements Weifang has made in recent years in the protection of intangible cultural heritage.
