On the morning of October 12th, the opening ceremony of 2019 Weifang Binhai International Equestrian Culture Festival & the 1st Shandong Equestrian Championship was held at Weifang Binhai International Kite Flying Field. This event lasting from October 12th to 14th has attracted 200 high-level athletes and more than 200 horses from nearly 100 equestrian clubs from the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, and other countries as well as provinces and cities across China.
The 2019 Weifang Binhai International Equestrian Culture Festival & The 1st Shandong Equestrian Championship was approved by Chinese Equestrian Association; hosted by Shandong Sports Bureau, Shandong Sports Federation, Management Committee of Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone; organized by Shandong Equestrian Association, Weifang Sports Bureau, Weifang Sports Association; and co-organized by Culture, Binhai Zone Sports and Tourism Bureau, Weifang Equestrian Sports Association, Weifang Mingding Equestrian Club, Weifang Dinghong Horse Industry Co., Ltd., and Weifang Binhai Tourism Group.
On the opening day, the 3,200m and 5,000m Speed Horse Open, the 9,800m Main Race, the 16,000m Open and the 1,800m Championship were held.
It is informed that the Equestrian Culture Festival this year is comprised of three major events, namely, International Speed Horse Racing Invitational, Chinese Equestrian Endurance Standards and the 1st Shandong Equestrian Championship, and nine minor events.
